Glory Art First’s mission is to promote and preserve African primitive art, creating a strong link between African and Western cultures. Founded by Serge Hié, a passionate collector and businessman from Côte d’Ivoire, Glory Art First is distinguished by its commitment to making African primitive art accessible, while respecting and honoring the cultural traditions from which it originates.  

Hié, a former soldier in the French army, inherited a passion for primitive art from his family.

This decree is crucial for artists and their heirs, and they are striving to maximize its positive impact on the protection of the rights of African artists.

The brand actively supports humanitarian initiatives, notably Madame Dominique Ouattara’s Children of Africa Foundation. At the foundation’s Charity Gala Dinner, one of the pieces from the Hié Collection was auctioned off and sold for over 140,000 euros, contributing directly to projects for the disadvantaged children of Côte d’Ivoire.
